About Us

Lewis being the largest island of the Outer Hebrides has a rich history and culture dating back from the Norse invasions to strong Gaelic traditions that are still observed to this day.

Stornoway is the main port and was named ‘Steering Bay’ by visiting Vikings in past centuries. The island’s diverse habitats are home to an assortment of flora and fauna, making it the ideal place to ‘chill out’ and get away from it all.

The cottage is well placed for guests with a variety of pursuits in mind, whether into hillwalking, fishing or bird watching, fun packed watersports or just relaxing on a sandy beach.

Stornoway boasts an 18 hole golf course, tennis and outdoor bowling and a sports centre with swimming pool.
